Linc's Life Threatening Allergies
Donation protected
I'm Anjee, the proud grandmother of Linc, who is my only grandchild.
Linc is currently 9 months old, and was diagnosed with severe life threatening allergies at 6 months old from eggs, milk protein, nuts, latex, paracetamol, and dogs. Some of these are easily avoidable, but eggs, dairy and nuts are in most foods. He was also born with Severe Laryngomalacia which led to much of his life so far being spent in hospital. This has to be operated on once he is over 12 months old.
My daughter has been told by the specialist that at this stage he has to be kept under constant supervision as he cannot come into contact with any of these things. She has not been able to return to work as no daycare centre will accomodate his high needs.
He has had multiple severe anaphalctic reactions (one he actually stopped breathing) due to foods being mislabeled. He had an anaphalactic reaction the other day to something that was labelled 'vegan' but turns out it had egg in it.
My daughter has to prepare all his food from scratch as he is on such a restricted diet, she has been able to borrow a thermo for the short term and it made a massive difference.
The funds will be used to purchase a thermomix as it will make her life 100 times easier with food prep and reduce stress knowing exactly what is in everything. The borrowed machine went back last week and almost instantly she was much more stressed and bub had an anaphalactic reaction yesterday to a shop bought item that was labelled vegan friendly. I would love to help my daughter out and reduce even a little stress for her, and I don't want to risk losing my gorgeous grandchild to reactions to food that could easily be prevented with the correct equipment.
Every little bit helps and I know my daughter will be hugely appreciative if we can surprise her with this amazing support!
