My name is Mateo del Cerro. I am 9 and a half years old. I live in Washington DC and go to St Patrick's Episcopal Day School.
I am a really lucky boy. I have food and a house to live in. I never worry about having enough to eat. Very sadly, there are thousands of children the same age as me that are not lucky at all. They worry every day if they have food in the fridge or if their house will be taken away. It isn't fair.
I have decided to raise money to buy food for 20 Horizons families in DC for as long as I can. I am working with my mum and Aunty Rox (The Real Bread Wives of DC) to get more money to buy more food. They are also looking for donations but they are doing it separately. It is nearly Thanksgiving and these 20 families need to have a proper Thanksgiving meal and Christmas meal. The children are stuck at home and can't get their meals at school. Some of their parents have no jobs and so they don't have any money to buy food. We will make food bags every single week until we have no more money to help.
Please donate whatever you are able to my Go Fund Me and you will be feeding a child in need. Your donations will go to my mum, not me, as I'm not old enough. My mum helped me write this as I can't type very fast.
