My name is Marwa, and I am an Egyptian Canadian woman living in Canada. I would like to share this fundraising initiative on behalf of my second cousin, Omar Shubair. Please read below to learn about Omar’s story and how you can help.

I'm Omar, a 22-year-old new graduate from Gaza. We are a family of six, and we lost everything in this war.

We were bombed many times, we survived many times, and we lost the home we had lived in our entire lives.

We lost our work; my older brother is a videographer, and he lost all his equipment worth 20,000 dollars.

My younger brother Hatem, who had just graduated from high school and was getting ready to start college, had his life completely disrupted.

Because of the crisis, our family of six has been displaced more than seven times, and we have been unemployed for more than 300 days without a source of income.

This campaign had been initiated by me to help my family. The goal of the fundraising is to provide the family with the necessities and costs of living that have increased significantly as a result of the war. The remaining funds will be utilized to pay for my brother Hatem's college education.

Your funds will be deposited into a Canadian bank account held by Marwa, a relative in Canada; then, transferred to my older brother's bank account in Gaza.
