Vegans Get Muddy for Shropshire Street Cats

Shrewsbury Vegans are a plant powered community group based in Shrewsbury, Shropshire

As a group of slightly over-enthusiastic (and wildly under-prepared) locals we decided to swap the comfort of our sofas for the muddiest of challenges: the Shropshire Mud Run ‍

Why? Because nothing says “community spirit” like 10 or so vegans faceplanting into a swamp for a good cause ‍

We’re raising money for Shropshire Street Cats , an amazing charity that helps stray cats find their forever homes

Our team mascot Apricot was rescued by Shropshire Street Cats in 2023 and thanks to their amazing work is now living a life of luxury with Alice and Chris from our Mud Run team

Let’s be honest—these cats have had it tough, so it’s the least we can do to crawl through a few mud pits to help them out

If you’ve ever wanted to see grown adults covered head-to-toe in mud, wheezing like they’ve never seen a gym in their lives, now’s your chance !!

Every donation helps—whether it’s a few quid to buy some kitty litter or a larger donation to help pay for urgent medical care
