The purpose of this page is raise funds for our friends in Venezuela who are facing a difficult situation. The economic, political and social crisis that Venezuelans have lived through for several years include lack of produce, jobs, insufficient salaries, and an annual inflation of more than 1,000%. This adds up to the pandemic that we all face globally, intensifying the problems they experience daily.
The problem youth faces among others is a significant number of dropping out of school and getting informal jobs. Others get involved in crime. Most of them are young people between 13 and 25 years of age.
The mission in Venezuela wants to go where youngsters are and help them thought different activities: One Outreach and One Training Camp. The first camp will provide youngsters with a time of adventure, recreation and rest, in order to introduce them to the gospel of Jesus Christ and give them the opportunity to make a decision for Him. The other camp will help with development and training of the leaders who currently serve and their current disciples, so that they can continue preparing to present the gospel of Jesus Christ to the young people and take them to the next camp.
The expected outcome is that Venezuelan young people establish a personal relationship with Jesus with the help of their leaders through discipleship using the Outreach camp as an instrument. The goal is that new Christian young people become multipliers of their faith by bringing their friends and sharing with them.
The funding will also support the operation staff with monthly salaries, including two university young men. These leaders who decided to stay with us despite the circumstances, will continue working as they have done until now, without succumbing to stress and concern for their family and continue to have their time and heart investing in the young people of their communities.
