Keep Jessie smiling

Donation protected
We are setting up this page on behalf of our courageous and beautiful daughter Jessica.
We would like to start by thanking you for taking the time to read her story. Also that as parents it is hard to ask for help from strangers as we should be providing for our children.
Our ray of sunshine Jessie 3 years ago battled a cancerous brain tumour called medullablastoma. She received surgery, radiotherapy, chemotherapy and ovarian surgery. Jess fought long and hard but eventually she rang the victory bell loud and proud. 12 months later in October last year after a routine Mri scan the dreaded news no parent should ever here. The cancer is back. Soul destroying does not cover the range of emotions you go through. How can this be true when she looks and acts just like any other 11 year old. Life can not be this cruel to her twice.
Consultants confirm the diagnosis and give us the treatment options!
We decided to keep this news from Jessie until the new year, and let her have a merry Christmas with her four brother's and family.
January they broke the news to Jess. As with all the treatment and bad news Jess has been given she took it on the chin. So strong she is our very own little wonder woman. Jess started on 3 month's of chemotherapy which the consultants stopped as they deemed it had little effect. So that brings us up to 15th July. Jessie was emitted into Birmingham children's hospital to undergo brain surgery once again. The purpose to obtain a biopsy of the tumour in the hope that they can find a drug to use. Since recovering from surgery with no complications. Jessie has been on yet again another chemotherapy now for 2 weeks which they say she can have for 12 months. That's up to date.
So the reason for the need of this page is to hopefully provide Jessie and her brothers with the means to make as many memories as we can. Jessie has dreams and wishes which we know we cannot meet. But hopefully we can at least try.
Thankyou for your time reading about our special daughter. We wish that we weren't having to write this.
Jessica's parents Hayley and Chris.
