Verity's Road to Recovery: Your Help Needed

Our sweet girl Verity was hit by two cars after running away from her dog sitter's care while I was out of town. We still can’t believe she survived, but she’s in rough shape and needs multiple surgeries to repair a badly broken leg and serious skin damage.

Her leg will need orthopedic surgery to stabilize the fractures, and because of the extent of her injuries, she also needs skin grafts to help her heal properly. The vets are doing everything they can to save her leg and get her back on her paws, but the recovery process will be long and expensive—[$35K and 6 months] for surgery, hospitalization, and follow-up care.

If you know Verity, you know she’s the most loving, goofy, gentle soul. She’s our constant companion, and seeing her in pain is heartbreaking. We never imagined we’d be in a position to ask for help like this, but we just want to give her the best chance at healing.
