Vermillion Storm Damage and Medical Bills
Donation protected
Hi my name is Daylyn, and I’m raising money to help my wonderful, amazing, retired and disabled in laws repair their home. If you have had the honor of meeting them, you know they are the best people, with the biggest hearts.
On Sunday July 16th at noon, a normal East Texas storm hit and straight line winds ravaged the property and their home of 30 years. A tree was blown through their two guest bedrooms (one of which our children, their grandchildren were staying in) and their bathroom. Taking out half of their home. The damage is extensive, and thankfully insurance is covering most of it, but not all of it. In the middle of the chaos of construction my father in law also sustained third degree burns to his feet and is now hospitalized in the burn unit at Medical City Plano. He will have to have multiple surgeries and skin grafts. Due to his diabetes and neuropathy, healing is a much longer process and the risk of infection is much higher. He will be hospitalized for weeks. And my mother in law will have to travel back and forth due to house construction on top of it.
Bills will start piling up soon. These wonderful people have done so much for so many people, let’s return the favor. Anything helps.
Every cent will be handed directly to them to help with any bills and repairs on their home. Thank you so much.
