Veronica Colmenares and Maria Colmenares

Today we received devastating news of our childhood friend, Veronica Colmenares who we lost due to COVID.  Receiving this news was not only difficult as is, but what is even more difficult is that she had just lost her mom on Christmas Day due to COVID. Her sister is trying to keep it together as they have to prepare for their mother’s funeral and now accept the loss of her sister passing. Losing a mother is hard as is and now losing a sister during the planning of their mom’s funeral is just an unimaginable pain. Unfortunately, the news was also shared with their father via phone who is fighting COVID as well.  We know times are tough for everyone right now, but my sister and I would like to help the family any way we can. The family is beyond devastated and in complete shock and really could use the help.  Veronica tested positive for COVID Jan 12 and went into ICU and lost her life too quickly on 1/21/21. Veronica was the oldest sister & mother of 3 young boys. Veronica was such a hard working mom. These past years, Veronica worked 2 jobs and endless hours to provide for her family. She worked late nights as an uber driver to make sure she could bring food to the table. She was energetic, bubbly, always happy, friendly, and loving to all.  When the pandemic hit, her jobs were affected drastically but she never gave up. She was a fighter!! ANY amount will truly help the family  during these extremely difficult times. We will miss your beautiful singing to Selena songs Veronica! Our deepest condolences to the whole family for their loss of their mom and sister.
