Veronique M. attend Miss Teen Canada Pageant

Hi! My name is Véronique Melanson and I need your help to bring awareness to the Miss Teen Canada pageant about sexual violence and the importance of cultivating a culture of consent on university campuses. As a survivor of sexual violence, I want to share my story so that other young women who will go through this ordeal can recognize themselves and see that it is possible to get through it.

My determination, courage, leadership, kindness, and resilience make me a strong representative of the values of Miss Teen Canada.

Originally from Notre-Dame de Kent, New Brunswick, I am currently in my second year of a Bachelor of Arts and Education majoring in French with a minor in English at Université Sainte-Anne in Nova Scotia. As a full-time student with limited funds, I need your support to help cover the cost of airfare from Halifax to Montreal, accommodations, pageant registration fees and meals. My fundraising timeline is extremely short. With your help in allowing my voice to be heard and my experiences shared, we can make university campuses safer for present and future generations of students.
