Help us continue the story of Verplanck!
Our show is all about providing funny, uplifting, kosher entertainment for the whole family. We believe that this idea is needed today more than ever. And what better way to do this than a comedy show that promotes achdus!
Since we've started this project just over a year ago, our viewership has grown from a few dozen to over TEN THOUSAND!
We've received incredible feedback from so many of our fans. We're really happy to be part of all of your lives in some small positive way. However, there have been some feedback we've received that has simply floored us and, frankly, humbled us to the power of this endeavor. Here are just some of the most memorable ones:
- We heard from a group of teenage girls from a prominent high school who took upon themselves to give up watching television. They deserve all the credit but they informed us that they watch our show when they have a "real craving for TV". They told us that this helps them stick to their commitment.
- We heard from parents who told us that on Chol Hamoed they, their parents and their children sat down to watch a bunch of episodes of Verplanck. They thanked us for the first opportunity they ever had to have 3 generations sit together and laugh watching a show that in which they didn't have to worry about its content.
- Perhaps most humbling, we've heard from a number of bikur cholim organizations who relayed the benefits of the show for those people who find themselves battling illness. (May Hashem send relief and salvation to all that need it.) They said it provides a happy respite to an otherwise difficult and painful situation.
This and much more, keeps us motivated to continue our project. But we need funds. Each episode costs on average close to $5,000 to produce. We're willing to do the hard work but are unable to shoulder the financial burden too. So for each $5000 that we raise we will commit to producing another episode. Our stated goal is to raise $25,000 which is one year of new episodes.
This is an opportunity to be involved in one of the more unique Jewish causes today. Please contribute and help us continue producing professional contemporary kosher entertainment.
