Vet Assistance for LouLou

Lou update: 08/08/23
Vets overall very happy with response to antibiotics & pain meds over the past (longest ever) 5 weeks. We are now trialing less pain meds, with the hopes of AB's dropping in the coming weeks.
The GREAT NEWS is that all biopsy results as well as her CT scan have officially come back ALL CLEAR.
Basically what this means is that while she had the ever so nasty Aspergillosis that I caught super early over Christmas last year and has eaten away (minimally compared to most they see) at her nasal /sinus cavity, it isn't Aspergillosis again.
BUT, this is the cause for her allergies & major infection that she had which warranted further diagnosis.
Not out of the woods, but can certainly see the light at the end of the tunnel to the new 'healthy' for Lou.
Overall fantastic news.
Thankyou so so much for all of your messages and conversations of concern for my LouBear.
As many of you know, Lou Lou has been going through some health issues. Late last year she acquired a condition called Aspergillus, an opportunistic mold spore infection in the nasal cavity. Aspergillosis is quite invasive, where the fungal plaque destroys the delicate bones of the sinuses - This is a life-threating condition if left untreated.
Already costing Erin upwards of $10,000 for testing and surgery over Christmas 2022, the beautiful Lou bear needs to undergo further testing sooner than later, with the possibility of requiring more surgery.
On the cusp of coming out of Covid & the floods, Erin’s pocket has been hit HARD. Lou Lou isn’t just a dog to Erin but is her companion, and the mascot of her business Erin’s Equine Services.
Seeing Erin cut back on all her necessities over the months to foot Lou’s previous vet bill, it’s come time for needing some assistance to ensure that Lou Bear continues to receive the best care possible for her condition.
Erin got Lou Lou from a stable at a young age after she had mothered several litters of puppies. Erin took Lou in, nurtured her back to good health and has given her a warm and loving home where she lives her best life and makes everyone happy each and every time they are around her.
Lou is having a another CT scan on Tuesday with other testing on the day to determine whether further surgery will be required.
Understandably, times are tough for us all, but if you can spare any change to help Erin & Lou Lou it would be much appreciated.
Brenton and I have seen Erin sell her beloved Car, and personal rehab equipment to assist in these fees. Erin never ever asked for help or assistance and always puts on a brave face. Watching Erin grow her own business and watching her help rehab, strengthen and rescue horses it's time we help Erin.
Much love, Jayne and Brenton ❤️
