Vet bills for Lucky, the cat hurt by a dog collar

Hi. We are only trying to raise funds to help defray the vet bills for Lucky, a desperately ill and horribly emaciated little stray that has been horrifically injured from being stuck in a non-breakaway dog collar someone had put on her.

Poor Lucky had gotten her front leg caught in this dog colla for so long that it not only cut a large open gash several inches long deep into her muscles on her neck, chest, and underarm, but also for so long that her skin was starting to try to grow around it where the putrid infection spanning her entire chest area wasn't rotting her away.

She needs surgery to close this wound as soon as the infection clears up enough that the skin will not be too "mushy" to suture. (Yes, it is truly that gruesome an injury).

Her next appointment to see if this infection has cleared up enough to do that surgery is in on Aug. 7th. She also has a broken fang that needs pulled as soon as possible because it is very obvious that it hurts her greatly and is preventing her from eating as she should, which is awful because the vet said she's been in a state of extreme starvation for weeks (that is painfully obvious because if you touch her poor bony body anywhere you can feel the contour of each bone), but that can't be done until she's in better health.

If you can help in any amount to defray the upcoming vet bills for this sweet gentle baby, it is so greatly appreciated We don't want to ask, we simply just cant absorb this unexpected expense at this time due to reasons we can't disclose. Nor do we know how much it will take, so please understand the amount is a low estimate for what we are trying to raise and is based off the first vet bill that was $320, which we've paid ourselves already. We are hoping it may not be much more than what we are trying to raise, but we simply do not know at this time.
