Vetcare for the horses at the piramids

Hello everyone, my name is joke ( FB Tegan joke van der post) I'm a Dutch vet tech who set up a free hospital and emergency care centre at the base of the Giza /sphinx piramids ( Cairo in Egypt)

We are located directly next to the Giza plateau and are offering 24 hr emergency service for the working animals ( tourist industry and impovered locals) afcourse free of charge.

We treat an avarage of 75 cases a day and besides treating the outpatients we admit those who need it and have rescues as well

( Currently 50 retired horses)

We strive to eliviate the suffering of the horses and donkeys by providing free vetcare and by educating better husbandry and care to the locals.

To improve our care we need to purchase an abundance of medical supplies and we can only do so with your support!

Our monthly costs currently are just under 10.000eur and that's included the wages of our 7 full time vets on staff and 4 grooms.

To be able to purchase meds in larger amounts will get us better prices and also a piece of mind , currently it happens we run out of specific lifesaving meds and we'd like to avoid this in the future.

We do the best we can with the means we have, but with your help we can step up even more!
