Veteran, Gary Michael Kenyon

Hi, my name is Janice (Kenyon) Gaspari. Gary is my baby brother. He passed away suddenly on September 10th, at the age of 66. Gary suffered quietly of lymphoma for two years, which he only recently shared with our family. Sadly, Gary always meant to have his affairs in order, but it appears he ran out of time before doing so. His children nor siblings, has funds available to cover these expenses. We all live simple life styles without excess; as many of you do. But we don't have anywhere else to turn. We are inviting you to join in a celebration of his life as well as receiving donations to cover the expense of Gary's cremation, memorial, and burial. Gary's children and grandchildren were his greatest joy in life as well as his friends of Post 4129 Saxton VFW. To be given an opportunity to join together will mean so much to all of us. Even now, I have a smile under my tears, as to remember Gary is to laugh at his jokes or hear his laughter after pulling a prank on us. He lived life to the fullest on his own terms, without regret. He was far from perfect, but he had a heart to help others whenever he could. Our brother Jim can remember Gary as a man that had some demons and therefore saw the world on a different plane and lived it his way, never backing down. That being said, Jim wants you to know that Gary was one of the kindest people to walk the Earth. If you needed help, you called Gary and he would be there. If you needed something fixed and called Gary, he would fix it. If you were laid up because of an injury or couldn't put food on the table, you could call Gary and he would get you a deer even if he got in trouble with the law. Some people are going to talk bad about Gary and some of us, will remember the good person he was. We hope to meet you and greatly appreciate any donation. The Celebration of Life is scheduled for Sunday, October 29, 2023 at 1pm at the Volunteer Fire Hall, 504 8th Street, Saxton PA 16678. RSVP by October 15th is appreciated.
