Veteran & War Hero Cpl Balmforth's 9 year old son Samuel
Donation protected
Barney served our country with honour for 11 years in the Army, earning the Military Cross for bravery during **Op Telic 3**. His medal was personally presented by the Queen.
Now, Barney and his family are facing a battle no parent should ever have to fight. His 9-year-old son, Sammy, has recently been diagnosed with leukaemia, with a gruelling two-year journey of chemotherapy and hospital treatments ahead.
Barney’s wife, Nicki, is self-employed and doing what she can, but with Sammy needing full-time care at Birmingham Children’s Hospital, work has understandably taken a back seat. Meanwhile, Sammy’s younger brother and sister are missing their big brother terribly.
While Barney’s employer has been incredibly supportive, the financial strain of travel, hospital stays, and maintaining some sense of normality for the whole family is immense.
I’m asking for your support to help ease the burden during this incredibly difficult time. Any donation, no matter how big or small, will make a huge difference.
Thank you for your kindness and generosity. Let’s stand by Barney and his family, just as he has always stood for others.
