Hello, my name is Oleg Magdych.

I wear many hats in life—I am a pastor, a combat medic, a father, a biker, a dog lover, and most importantly, I am Ukrainian.

In 2022, when my country faced the horrors of war, I joined a volunteer territorial defense unit to protect my family, my homeland, and our freedom.

My wife, a dedicated military psychologist, works tirelessly with veterans and their families, helping them navigate the challenges of returning to civilian life. She currently supports over 120 families through a veteran assistance program she coordinates.

Together, we have a dream. We want to create a sanctuary in the Carpathian Mountains—a place where veterans and their loved ones can find peace, healing, and renewal.

We’ve named this retreat "SKRAY", which means "Edge" in Ukrainian, symbolizing a tranquil haven far from the chaos of war.

The first cabin is nearly complete, but it still requires internal finishing. Our vision doesn’t stop there—we aim to build a second cabin to officially launch our retreat center for veterans and their families by 2025.

As a veteran myself, I know the immense value of a quiet refuge—a place where you can escape the constant air-raid sirens, missile threats, and the unrelenting stress of war. "SKRAY" will offer this much-needed respite, along with a supportive environment to help rebuild lives and relationships.
