Veterinary Assistance for Ukraine

As everyone knows, the atrocities committed by the Russians in Ukraine have been devastating; it is truly difficult to watch knowing there is little that we can do to help. However, I have found a way that I can help where veterinary expertise is needed.

I am heading to Romania/Ukraine border for 2 weeks to work with an organization called Breaking the Chains. I am volunteering my veterinary services to help to support the refugees from Ukraine by treating those animals that were separated from their owners as well as those that had to be left behind. I will be treating the sick, wounded, and malnourished animals that the ex-military volunteers of the organization heroically goes into dangerous war torn areas to extract. The hope is to stabilize these animals and then help to find their original owners or adopt them out to loving families.

Any donation made will go towards purchasing desperately needed medications and supplies that I will be bringing with me as well as to support travel costs - anything in excess will be donated directly toward Breaking the Chains organization and Warpaws. These medications will be lifesaving for these dogs.
