Veterinary Bills for rescued dog, Ranger

Hi, my name is Dondi West (search and rescue volunteer). I am fundraising to fund the veterinary bills for Ranger, the Labrador mix, who was instrumental in helping searchers in finding his deceased owner. He and his owner were lost on Mingus Mountain above Prescott Valley, AZ. His owner perished during the six day search by Yavapai Sheriffs Search and Rescue Teams. Ranger stood by his owner's side and was seen by the DPS helicopter on the 6th day. The dog assisted in locating the missing hiker, although with an unfortunate end. The family is dealing with the loss of a loved one and the worry of the family pet. Ranger suffers from severe dehydration and exposure. Ranger was transported to Yavapai Emergency Animal Hospital in Prescott Valley by the Search Dog Unit (SDU) after the DPS helicopter rescue. We hope to pay the veterinary bills to ease the pain of the family tragedy and help in Ranger's recovery.
