Send women vets to #WomensMarch
We are American veterans and we are calling on our fellow veterans and allies to assemble and join the #WomensMarch on Washington DC, Saturday, Jan 21st. In this transformative time, we are seeing the high resonance and importance of veterans commitment to join important battles of coalition and community.
Our team consists of women, a Muslim, a mother, veterans, and proud Americans. And Donald Trump's rhetoric and behavior has inspired me to take action. For over a year on the campaign trail, Donald Trump has attacked women, immigrants, Muslims, Native Americans, people with disabilities, veterans with PTSD, and so many other communities. He has been shameless in his misogyny, sexual assault, and violent attitudes. And now he's managed to successfully bully his way into the White House.
It is the moral duty of all veterans and Americans to stand with women and march on Washington. Our mission is to support and defend the Constitution of the United States and her people. This means our mission is to march alongside the tens of thousands of women and other underrepresented people on inauguration weekend in intersectional solidarity, and tell Donald Trump loudly and clearly that women's rights are human rights.
The funds we raise on this page will go towards providing transportation, lodging, and other supplies for the brave veterans leading our contingent of veterans and allies. Donald Trump has attacked women, ridiculed sexual assault, and perpetuated rape culture. As such, our first priority is to send women veterans to the front lines in this historic event in Washington. Additional funds will be used to send other veterans supporting our leaders.
We'll update this page as the event draws nearer and as we hit milestones. Our first goal is to send 5 veterans to DC.
We will also be posting updates on this Facebook event: https://www.facebook.com/events/378807382469468
Please share this GoFundMe on social media, and stand with veterans so that we can fight for women's rights and the rights of all who are oppressed by Trump and his policies.
Every day that passes is a step closer toward undoing years of hard work and progress. And with Trump’s inauguration only 37 days away, we must be ready to fight back.
Thank you for standing with women and women veterans.
