VEX Robotics World Ch'ships - Central Square HS
Donation protected
On Saturday, March 2 at the SRC Center, VEX Robotics Team 709S -- The RoboEagles from Paul V. Moore HS in Central Square -- clinched their third invitation to the World Championships!
They won their division for the 2nd year in a row and were crowned the state Skills Champions for the 2nd time in 3 years. They also won the Think Award for impressive and effective autonomous programming; and the Teamwork Award for creating, mentoring and inspiring multiple teams both at our school and in the area. They also came within 2 points of being Tournament Champions, losing the championship match by only 2 points!
The VEX World Championships will be held in Louisville, KY from April 24 to 27, 2019. 580 of the best teams in the world will be there to compete.
Registration cost is $975, and is due by Monday, March 11. We are seeking to raise $1800 to cover registration and the cost of a team hotel room for 4 nights. Anything above and beyond that would defray transportation costs.
Please help send the RoboEagles to the World Championships! Not only have they achieved great things in competition, but they have been wonderful role models and mentors to the Central Square Middle School robotics team as well.
