9-11 Memorial & First Responders Lunch
It's time for our community to pull together again, this time to help honor our First Responders in Hood County, TX. Over the last several years the local Riley Stephens Memorial VFW Post 7835 has looked for ways to honor our community's First Responders while holding a memorial service for those who lost their lives on 9/11.
This year the Post is collaborating with several other organizations, including the American Legion, Blue Star Mothers, the Military Officers Association of America (MOAA), the Granbury High School JROTC Honor Guard, Operation Red White & Blue and local vendors, to host a luncheon for First Responders. The Hood County Sheriff's Department, Granbury Police Department, Fire Departments, and Emergency Management Services (EMS) personnel are invited to attend the luncheon which will be held on Saturday September 11, 2021, the 20 year Anniversary, at the Post.
The group is asking for help from the community in the way of monetary donations, donations from grocery stores for brisket or port, and the like, to help cover the cost of feeding all the First Responders.
