Please help me help my dad

As some of you may know, my father Gary has fallen on difficult times. Back in 2006 my father, an incredibly trusting and giving man, fell for a scam, which caused him to leave a stable and supportive work environment of over 25 years. Since then, he has been in and out of temporary jobs on a consistent basis. Last April, along with his struggles with diabetes and COPD, my father had to have a defibrillator inserted to help his heart. During that surgery, his surgeon stated that at some point he would need to have an additional surgery to remove the some of the muscles and tissues that were preventing his heart from functioning properly. Low and behold, here we are. Two weeks ago I received a phone call stating that the surgery would happen immediately and could not be postponed any longer. During the 2nd surgery to remove the muscle and tissue as well as reshape the heart, I received an update that his Mitral Valve was not responding to the procedure as expected and would need to be replaced. The surgery was long and grueling but he toughed through it and now he is on the road to recovery!!!
Here is where I am desperately in need of help. With the loss of his stable job and his incredibly high medical bills, he has been unable to financially stay afloat. Due to his tough financial situation, his home of 22 years is being taken away. I have spent countless hours calling to speak with the mortgage company regarding the status of his home and the final response is that unless the outstanding balance of 19,238.04 is paid in full, his home will be picked up and hauled away on Monday June 1st. Right now, my father is currently recovering in the hospital and once discharged, he’ll be sent straight to a rehabilitation facility for 1-2 weeks where he will have much needed assistance with recovery care. The thought of my father returning from this surgery in a week or two, to find that his home has been taken away, absolutely breaks my heart. I know whole heartedly that my father is one of the most giving, big-hearted, supportive, loyal and loving men I’ve ever met. He wouldn’t think twice before giving the shirt off of his back to a complete stranger. He has never been one to ask for a handout but he’s always been there to support others in need. Please, please help me do what we can to help my father gain some stability by keeping his home. Whatever you can contribute, no matter how big or small, will make a difference and please know that I will forever be grateful.
