HANCOCK STREET BLOCK PARTY 2023

Hello neighbors,

Following last year's amazing HANCOCK STREET BLOCK PARTY, we are ready to put the final touches on the planning for this year's party, which is scheduled for Saturday, August 12th. As most of you know, this block party is a tradition on our block. The street is closed off from 8 am to 8 pm. Neighbors invite friends and relatives and throw their own parties that spill onto the street. There’s music, games, food, and dancing. It’s a time to enjoy our beautiful block, share a drink or food with neighbors, and enjoy good weather together. To make this party happen, we are asking neighbors to contribute to cover the cost of the different planned events that are listed below:

Music - Sound equipment and DJ; (~$1,400)

Children's activities - bouncy houses; craft tables; face painting; soccer kicking competition; race; balloons; (~$1,200)

Food - Hot dogs/water/juices; ice cream truck. (~$600)

Total projected cost - $3,200 less $739 (remaining from last year's fundraiser) = 2,461.
