Vincent "Benny" Guerrero's Memorial
Donation protected
For Thanksgiving, East County San Diegans Vincent and Cheryl Guerrero made the long trip in their RV from San Diego, CA to Houston, TX to visit one of their daughters and grandchildren. All was going well when unexpectedly on Saturday December 5th, 2015, Vincent started having health complications and was found unresponsive while in Texas. Doctors deemed Vincent had suffered several strokes along with a blood clot above his heart.
His family sat restlessly by his bed hoping they would see him recover but sadly he never did. Cheryl was then tasked with an unquestionably difficult decision of removing Vincent from life support and allow him to go peacefully, which is what he would have wanted. However, Vincent continued breathing on his own and valiantly kept fighting for his life. After two nights of breathing on his own, the hospital gave Cheryl approval to bring Vincent back to San Diego so that the he can be with his family. Cheryl along with a family member, set forth on the 1,505 mile trip from Houston to San Diego with Vincent. Unfortunately, while on the road, on Saturday December 12th, 2015, Vincent passed away.
Vincent "Benny" Guerrero was a beloved man who will be remembered by many who cherished him dearly. Vincent was a devoted and committed husband of 47 years and a loving father for 54 years. Vincent always placed a great importance on family and made sure he served his family's each and every need. Along with serving his family, Vincent served in the United States Marine Corps and was a Korean War Veteran.
Due to the unexpected and sudden passing of Vincent, his family has been left in dire need of help to cover medical and funeral expenses. Although the grief the Guerrero family is experiencing is tough to mend, continued support from our community can undoubtedly help in these tough times. We graciously ask each and every one of you for help. No donation is too small, and if you cannot help monetarily, there are many other ways to help. Please help by sharing and/or by offering support.
The entire Guerrero family thanks each and every one of you in advance for your generosity, kindness and prayers.
May God bless you all.
