Alana's medical expenses

Donation protected
Alana is a 53-year-old mother of two boys, real estate agent, and Atlanta native who loves motorcycles, sports cars, and all activities on the water. Her lifelong dream has always been to live by the beach. She began to put this dream into motion when her youngest son graduated high school in May, 2022. In mid-October, she sold her house and headed south to chase this dream. However, before she could even begin to look for a home, she found herself in the hospital with debilitating pain and pressure in her head. On November 4, 2022 she was taken into surgery to remove a golfball sized tumor that was diagnosed as a glioblastoma. During this surgery she had a mini stroke that left her with weakness on the left side of her body that is still an issue today. Because all of her family is in the Atlanta area, she returned back to Georgia and rented a house so she could recover and seek treatment while surrounded by family and friends.

In January 2023, she learned the tumor had grown back and was larger than the first one. At that time, she had a second brain surgery to remove it again and followed that up with six weeks of daily radiation and chemo. She recently learned that the tumor cells continued to grow and spread despite the surgeries and treatment.

Because she is a fighter, neither she nor her doctors are giving up hope. She will begin an immunotherapy treatment soon while her radiation oncologist searches for a clinical trial for her to join.

This page has been set up to help Alana offset some of the medical debt that continues to accumulate. She has been unable to work since before the first surgery, nor will she be able to anytime soon. Thank you for taking the time to read her story and for considering a donation to help pay some of these expenses. We appreciate each and every prayer and donation made on her behalf.
