Marcelino Gonzalez Acosta, age 57 of Morris, IL passed away peacefully at Morris Hospital on January 8th, 2022.

Marcelino dedicated his life to working hard in the United States for his family. He paved the way through many obstacles to earn his citizenship and to help get his family to where they are now. He worked at R-Place for several years, and he worked later at the Morris Country Club. With a smile on his face, he was known for being the nicest guy in the kitchen. Marcelino had a funny sense of humor and always treated people with kindness. In his spare time, he entertained his tremendous love for the outdoors. He enjoyed fishing and walking down the river by the I & M Canal every chance he got.

“Marce” as many liked to call him, always put his family before himself. He had a big heart and always cared for the people that needed him most. Whether he was family, a friend, or stranger, he was someone you could count on. In our hearts, he will always be a loving father, son, sibling and friend.
