Murchison Athletics Fundraiser - Parents and Fans

Hello Matador Fans,

As we optimistically head into the 2020-21 Athletic Season at Murchison MS, the excitement and energy levels remain high in support of our coaches, players, students and fans!

The uncertainty that COVID-19 has introduced is will be overcome with the heart strength of our players, as they push forward with the new safety precautions and guidelines.

As we prepare to  kick off the season, it is time for our annual “silent fundraiser” through GoFundMe.   This is extra important this year as some of our other fundraising efforts were sidelined, and yet the needs remain stronger than ever.  We  loved  having so many of you join us for the kickball tournament last year and hope that this will become a tradition when simpler times return to our communities. 

The immediate needs for the 2020-21 season include:         

- Covid-19 Mitigation Items : Sanitizer sprays to disinfect stands and player areas      for practice areas and games.
 -Increased Scholarship opportunities to ensure that every player has their needs                covered for practices and games.
- Unexpected equipment and gear related to COVID or otherwise
 
We ask for your assistance during this time when your generosity would be a true gift for many.  Should there be a cancellation of our initial kickoff sport, football, the budget will move forward to other sports further down the calendar or into next athletic year, should that be necessary.
