Vibe the Wave take on The Worlds Toughest Row
Donation protected
We are 3 ladies who have come together, with no prior rowing experience to take on the Worlds Toughest Row.
We will be rowing, 3,000 nm from La Gomera to Antigua.
During our crossing we will row in excess of 1.5 million oar strokes, we will face up to 30ft high waves, extreme winds and likely storms, not to mention hand blisters and bum sores. Our boat will be carrying all our essentials which include freeze dried food, a water maker (to desalinate sea water for drinking water), 2 sets of clothes each (no room for fashion), emergency kit and survival equipment.
It is estimated that each crew member will use 800 sheets of toilet paper, we will burn in excess of 5,000 calories per day with the average rower losing around 8kg during the crossing and will require 5l of drinking water a day minimum.
Oh and did we mention there is no toilet on board!
It is a true test of physical and mental strength, determination and resilience.
However, to get us to the start line and across the Ocean WE NEED YOUR HELP!
Please assist us in any way possible and here is an idea of how:
£5 - will buy us flash spray for the toilet bucket!
£10 - will buy us an eye mask so on our 2hrs off we can sleep properly
£15 - will buy us toilet roll for the trip
£25 - will buy us one days worth of rations
£50 - will buy us all our toilet roll for the trip
£100 - will buy us vital supplies for our first aid kit (including immersion suits)
£150 - will buy us a waterproof speaker to keep those tunes banging and us entertained
£200 - will buy us an LED flare for distress calls
Anything you can contribute will be massively appreciated!
Or £75 will let you choose a photo for us to cut someone's face to be taped to the bottom of our toilet bucket for the entire trip!
Love and hugs -
