This is a post I never thought I would have to write and it makes my heart so sad that I am. Two weeks ago my sweet mom suffered an ischemic stroke. For an unknown amount of time she was left without blood flow to the right side of her brain. Medical personal was able to remove the clot and save her life, but it has unfortunately left her with some very big deficits. We are hopeful that over time those deficits will become stronger and not so life changing. Due to these deficits she has been transported to a long-term care facility in Boise, Idaho. The hope is that this facility will help her not be dependent on a ventilator to breathe and help her get the use of her left side back. We are hopeful that she will be able to live a normal life, although, very different than what she is use too. As you can imagine it has left a huge financial impact with the amount of medical bills this life saving care has provided. I am hoping we can help my parents not be so stressed about this while my mom focuses on getting better. Thank you!
