Vickie Patterson - House Fire Loss
Donation protected
UPDATE: I want to thank so many of you for so graciously giving to this cause already! But I also want to ask if you'll share and reshare this story. Vickie is beginning to rebuild her home now and is trying to pay cash as she builds without debt and she and her brother are doing it themselves. Her business lease is raising rates and there are challenges at every turn. I applaud her for moving forward one step at a time. I've increased the goal of this fundraiser to offer her as much in the way of resources as possible. You are supporting her so much by simply sharing her story. Thank you for that!
ORIGINAL POST: Hi, I'm Chris and I've set up this Go Fund Me account on behalf of family, church & friends for the sweetest lady ever - Vickie Patterson. Vickie just lost her home, which was uninsurable, to fire this week and, as we can all hopefully only imagine, is trying to put one foot in front of the other right now.
Vickie is the co-owner of the #MagnoliaCoffeeHouseandBistro in Magnolia with Janna Hartigan - with whom she's been friends for over 50 years. They opened this awesome cafe and coffee house shortly before Covid hit and have barely managed to keep their doors open. If you haven't been there before, you are truly missing out! (PSA ... they do catering as well!)
You may already know that Vickie lost her precious husband, Randy, to a motorcycle accident about three years ago. With God's help, she perseveres. She's a fighter. She's a "stand on my own two feet" kinda lady. She's been a diabetic since her twenties. She shows up for EVERYONE, yall. So I know you all want to show up for her now.
Through tears today, she and I discussed not understanding the full reason God allows trial after trial in some lives, yet we trust He is making us more like Him. She trusts God's plan for her life - no matter the valleys. Vickie's faith is paramount in her life and it shows in her unfailing service to her friends, family, community, church and so on. She has been a blessing at our church in many, many ways! We're so blessed to know her and love her.
I would never ask you to give to any cause without first praying that God would direct you. So, I'm asking you to pray. If God leads you to support Vickie as she steps into the journey of rebuilding her life - one step at a time - then be faithful to His prompting. Your financial gift, no matter the size, is a blessing to our sweet Vickie! And I pray God will bless your heart as you bless hers! Thank you so much!
