So this is my biggest challenge ever...
As a survivor of domestic abuse and violence as a child and adult this is something I want to bring awareness to. It is an epidemic and I was one of the lucky ones to get out. I'm raising funds for Kaleidoscopic Uk who help families recover. It's run by survivors and they educate services across the Thames Valley. Children are often the forgotten victims of abuse and with your help we can change that. 1 in 3 women, 1 in 5 children and 1 in 6 men in England and wales suffer domestic abuse and 2 women a week still lose their lives in our country.
I am also running to raise funds for my 16 year old nephew who was diagnosed with stage 4 bladder cancer just before Christmas which has sadly spread to his pelvis. He is having aggressive chemo and radiation treatments and I would like to help any way we can. To ease the financial strain on the family would be incredible due to the many different hospitals and stays needed all over the south.
Obviously both these things are close to my heart and i would be so grateful for any contribution you can make.
Money raised will be split between the two equally via a Kaleidoscopic Uk Trustee account (Jane Ainslie)
For anybody who knows me running is not my forte and 5k was a challenge so this is my biggest challenge by far...but i will give it my all, blood, sweat and most likely tears all support appreciated!!
Thank you xx
