Dear friends,
I'm sure you were as shocked and upset as we were to hear that our dear friend Vicky was involved in a major accident last weekend. The wood stove she was using exploded, and she was badly injured. Luckily, Dave, her brother-in-law was outside, and was able to bring her to safety and call for help.
Thankfully for us all, Vicky is alive and recovering well in hospital in Victoria with Dave and her husband Mike at her side. She has already gone through one 8 hour surgery, and likely faces more to come. And while she is no doubt facing this adversity with the energy and spirit we all know and love, the road to recovery is long.
As you can imagine, an accident like this has created a number of financial hardships on the couple including time off work, food and travel expenses and potentially long term physio and medication.
As friends of Vicky and Mike, we are asking you to join us in helping them get through this difficult time. We know they would be there for us and we want to give everyone the opportunity to be there for them now.
