Hi, my name is Jennifer and I am fundraising for medical bills and lost wages for my daughter Janessa who was the victim of gunfire.

Sunday early morning on December 17 I was woken up by the worst phone call a mother or parent could ever receive. Janessa 19 years old shot multiple times. The shooting occurred 1 hour away. It was the longest hour of my life. Janessa was shot 5 times in the Right upper thigh, abdomen, left chest, left rib cage and left forearm. I’m and thankful she is alive. She is very lucky she walked away with 10 open bullet wounds and a shattered left ulna. We are waiting to see orthopedic surgeon for surgery intervention. None of the bullets hit any vital organs, arteries, her heart or lungs. There was a true angle watching over her that night.

Unfortunately she was at the wrong place at the wrong time. Crime in this state is becoming so frequent it is scary. You can’t even go to the store, restaurant, mall, movie theater without worrying if something is going to occur.

Janessa has a long recovery physically and mentally. She has no feeling or movement in her left hand. Waiting for surgical intervention. While she does have health insurance things are going to start accumulating. Copayments, missed work, supplies and equipment. At this time janessa is unable to work or pay her bills.
