Our wedding venue Circle B closed without giving refunds

My fiancé Matt Niemeyer and I were supposed to get married at Circle B Weddings and Events on August 31st, 2024 owned by Angie and Wayne Butt. Monday morning while going through my emails, I read the email that Circle B will be closing permanently effective immediately with no other explanation. The email also stated that the owners would not be taking any calls or emails, which has been true.

We signed a contract and paid in full. Communication with the owners of the venue regarding details of our big day was ongoing and consistent. I heard from Angie on April 9th asking for updates on vendors. Nothing was mentioned at that time of a closure.

We are raising money to recuperate our stolen funds in hopes to pay for the last elements for our big day that need to be paid off.

We went to court and unfortunately justice will not be served and we will not get any of the lost money back. :(

As a bride you dream of your big day. I'm no different; I've dreamed of my wedding day since I was a girl. We have been working hard making decorations, planning, and booking all the necessary pieces for this day. I had it all pictured in my head for that venue and I'm heartbroken that the beautiful painting I had is now gone and now we have to get a new canvas to paint our picture on.

We are asking anyone who can for contributions to help us with the last few pieces to make the picture of our big day complete.
