Victims of Odette in Southern Leyte needs us
Donation protected
Back in 2013, we can remember that Leyte got hit by a massive typhoon called Yolanda. Since then, people who lost loved ones, properties and livelihood were slowly getting their lives together but yesterday, another disastrous typhoon hit their province. This typhoon is much stronger and more devastating than the previous one.
The minicipality of Pintuyan is a small and quaint part of Southern Leyte. People depend on farming for their livelihood. Yesterday, not only their livelihoods were destroyed but they were displaced. Families could not locate their loved ones. No electricity. No food. No dependable shelter (because their evacuation centres were old school buildings). The roads are blocked by falling trees and debris. It is a catastrophe I could imagine we would all be facing at the end of this world.
A good friend of mine, Dina Ave who is based here in Australia, has her family in Pintuyan. At the moment, she could not contact nor locate her family. I am creating this go fund me to help her in any way shape or form to locate and help her family. Apart from this, whatever donations we will collect will be shared amongst the people/neighbors of the municipality of Pintuyan.
Any donations will be greatly appreciated. We need to collect ASAP as we aim to be able to help them (e.g. food/clothing/basic needs) as soon as the road permits us.
