Please Support Our Beloved Victor Lee Lewis with Emergency Relocation Expenses

Relocation Fund Goal: $7500

Victor has found it necessary to release and surrender his home of 29 years. This is a positive move that he is choosing even though it’s painfully difficult. This home is in the same apartment complex he helped to turn into a limited-equity housing co-op in 1996. This action stems from organizational strife, mismanagement and skyrocketing costs. Victor will need to raise $7500 in the next two weeks to ship his belongings, clean and paint, otherwise return the unit to “new” condition and surrender the keys to the unit by May 8th.

A life-long teacher, activist and caregiver, about 5 years ago Victor made a “leap of faith” decision to live completely within the “Gift Economy”. He gives freely of his time, talents, and knowledge, and relies completely on donations in accordance with his steadfast belief that the gifts he shares are truly priceless and necessary for human survival and a thriving planet, and therefore must be made available to all regardless of wealth. Just like access to land, air, and water, “Liberation is for Everyone.”

Victor could list many accomplishments and contributions, and no amount of them can capture the totality of who he is and the gift that he has been to generations of activists and friends. If you know Victor, you know that he is a one-of-a-kind human being, a treasured community asset in the mysterious unfolding of any possibility of human survival, and an unconditional source of love and generosity. Victor has repeatedly given his all to anyone he could help and has shared his homes with the unhoused, for months and years, without asking for any money. And he is now in serious and urgent need. Those of us who are supporting Victor in putting this campaign forward feel deeply called to do all we can so that he is well cared for and has a successful and graceful transition to his new home and community.
