Victoria Falls Boxing Academy farming project

Hello I am Janelle. I had the fortune of spending time at the Victoria Falls Boxing Academy in Zimbabwe. I valued my time getting to know Tobias and seeing how wonderful the kids are flourishing in the gym there. As well as the 12 children who live in the boxing home, the neighboring community are all welcome at no cost to be part of this amazing community. Tobias Mupfuti is a coach and man who has persevered from being a street orphan to a role model, father and coach. He is a gym owner who houses, feeds and provides schooling for the 12 orphans that live, study and train at Victoria Falls Boxing Academy.

This organization defends the rights of the destitute, improves lives and changes life stories. They unlock the potential of at-risk children by providing a compassionate home. They provide the opportunity to attend public schools, develop self-esteem and experience trusting relationships with peers and adults. The gym promotes health and well-being, through fitness, education and professional services.

Right now they want to expand and build a farm to supplement the income of the gym to help fund the boxing home and monthly costs. The farm will educate the children about farming and its importance to daily life. It will provide food to the home as well as reduce overall expenses for food. The intention is to promote a good diet for the children, by providing healthy grains and will offer clean water to the locals in the neighborhood from the borehole.

The land is already secured. But the development and building of the farm will require: Drilling, casing, solar pump, 10,000-litre tank with steel mounting and fitting, 4 flood lights, Fence, fencing poles, gates Building lands for chicken broilers, chicken road runners, pigsty. Green Vegetable beds and seeds for the crops. Cost summary of all the above is $13, 562

The director of the Victoria Falls Academy will manage the project from start to the running of it. All contributors are welcome to visit the sites. I will be contributing to this meaningful, life-changing cause. I truly hope you will join me to help better the lives of these fantastic children.
