Victoria Moran

Victoria passed away peacefully at the age of 92 at Coleman Care Centre in Barrie on January 2, 2024.

Victoria was born in Edmonton, Alberta on November 24, 1931. She graduated from the University of Alberta in 1953 with a BSc in Biochemistry. She was one of the first women during this time to pursue a post secondary degree, in the area of science. Victoria went on to complete her Masters of Education at the University of Toronto in 1981.

Victoria had a strong passion for classical music and studied with the Royal Conservatory. She also sang with the King Edward choir for many years.

We are very grateful for the phenomenal care, love and support provided by the healthcare professionals at Coleman Care Centre. Victoria resided at Coleman for the past 6 years.

We invite you to contribute to a meaningful dedication in her honour. We are raising funds for a memorial bench that will hi light Victoria’s love for both nature and birds. The bench will be placed in the outdoor garden area at Coleman, where Victoria spent many cherished moments. Your generosity will help create a lasting momento, to provide a place of solace and reflection for current staff and residents at Coleman Care Centre.
