Hi. My name is Shea Leecock and I’m
Tori’s sister. I started a Go Fund Me to help Tori and Casey with their upcoming medical bills and loss of an income, as Tori was recently diagnosed with Acute Leukemia B-Cell ALL. To say this is shocking would be an understatement. You see a week ago on Father’s Day we were celebrating not only Fathers Day but Tori being pregnant after trying for so long, and it being her lifelong dream to be a mom. She found out she was pregnant at 6 weeks and around Father’s Day she was at 9 weeks. On Fathers Day we were talking about future gender reveal party plans, to the following Tuesday her finding out she was miscarrying, to then having to go to a hematologist appt that Friday, the same week, just to be urgently rushed to Emory for having acute Leukemia and needing blood transfusions while she was actively miscarrying. All in one week!
We are all so shocked and our hearts are breaking for her and Casey.
The physical toll her body is taking and will take through all the treatments and the emotional and mental toll it has/is taken has been devastating. She is strong but even the strongest need help sometimes and that is why I started this Go Fund Me. She has insurance but as we all know even with insurance the bills for treatments, hospital stays, follow up care, etc can still be very expensive. Tori will have to stay at Emory for at least a month while getting harsh chemo treatments, testing, other procedures and transfusions, and once out will require 6 months of follow up chemo and transfusions. And because her immune system will be so comprised she will not be able to return to her job as a wedding planner with the Tate House until 2023 sometime and will be unable to hold any job for that matter as she will be having to go to dr appts and treatments back and forth between Emory and Jasper the whole 6 months while maintaining the integrity of her immune system. So the medical bills on top of the loss of an income is a devastating blow and add in the scary and fierce diagnosis while suffering a miscarriage, it is just a lot.
Everyone who knows Tori and Casey know that they are too prideful to ask for any help but I, as her sister, am asking that if you can, please consider donating to help them. Any amount will help and I thank you for your time in reading this and for any donation you can give and I know that they thank you also from the deepest part of their hearts. All money donated will go straight to Tori and Casey for their medical bills and living expenses during this tough time. I will also keep this page updated with progress reports on Tori and how she is doing and what treatments she has when, so you can all be updated as we move along this journey with helping her to stay strong in this fight! She is a strong tough warrior with an amazing husband, family and friends to support her and I know that she will overcome this even though it’s going to be a beast of a journey!
Please share this post with all your friends and family!!
thank you all in advance! With sincerest thankfulness....
