Victoria’s Staying!

I hope everyone had a Merry Christmas, and a Happy New Year.
For starters I would like too apologize for having to ask for help in the first place. Especially during a pandemic when so many other people are struggling as well.
A little over a month and a half ago, I sustained a concussion from a car accident. I really haven’t had the time to see the neurologist I’m suppose to be seeing because I’ve had to work. Unfortunately my insurance didn’t cover the accident, only my medical bills from the ER. No one else was involved. My car flipped three times while going 55mph, after swerving out of the way of an animal. It was a 2001 Subaru and I was in the process of switching insurance companies and hadn’t gotten collision coverage taken care of.
In Maine, having a car in the winter is a must. This had only complicated a more complicated situation. We have been fighting tooth and nail to get Victoria her citizenship and this has back logged all our efforts. Currently she does not have work authorization, and prior to the car accident we were months away from being able to afford the cost of our attorneys.
To put it bluntly, we were struggling before the accident. We cannot afford our lawyers for Victoria’s case. Especially now that we can’t even drive and Victoria still isn’t allowed to work. My car was my second form of income. In order for Victoria to get work authroization we need the funds to do so. Until then my wife cannot get an ID, job, insurance, bank account, or fly back home to see her family. She needs to be able to obtain all those things just to be able to apply for her green card. Without her work authorization, she can’t get a green card, and without a green card she can’t get citizenship. Currently our marriage is the only form of paperwork she has to her name in this country, other than her Russian Passport. We could be stuck in this situation for the next ten to fifteen years of our lives like millions of other Americans because of a corrupt and incompetent government system.
We just want to get back on our feet. I just want Victoria to be able to work and for her to have the same rights as everyone else. She deserves to be able to have a license to work and drive after paying taxes for six plus years and never breaking the law. My wife is the epitome of the American dream.
We have paid out of pocket for dentists, doctors, and just about anything else people couldn’t imagine paying for. We have never made excuses. But our savings is up, Victoria cannot work, I need a car to continue to work, and I’m loosing money by the day.
Victoria and I have our hands tied and time is not exactly on our side. We need our own transportation, and we need the funds for our lawyers.
Our lawyer fees are likely to be 7,000$ or more for our immigration case, and we’re looking for 3,000$ for a car. Please help us get back on our feet, and help keep Victoria in the country and make her an American once and for all!! I’ll do what ever I can to make this up to everyone who helps us. Thank you!
Much love everyone stay healthy!
