My name is Victoria Vertrees. I'm a sophomore Meteorology student at the University of Oklahoma. I earned my Hot Air Balloon Pilots License when I was 16. Over the past 3 years I have been flying in national hot air balloon competitions with the goal of one day flying to represent my country at the international level. I have finally been given that chance! I have been invited to represent the United States as a competitor at the 3rd FAI Women’s Worlds Hot Air Balloon Championship in Nałęczów, Poland from August 6-11, 2018. With this great honor comes great financial cost. The funds raised through this campaign will go towards covering the cost of international travel , including; airfare for my equipment, ground crew, and navigator (Stacy Adelberger) as well as ground transportation and lodging. I'm grateful for any support as I go forward to represent the women pilots of Team USA.
