Hi! First of all, thank you for being here & for your support!

I am Pamela, and Victor is my fiancé, best friend, life partner and beyond. As I sit writing this, never in a million years I thought we would be going through this…

On October 2023, Victor was diagnosed with ALS. Remember that viral bucket challenge that brought awareness and funding?? Yeah, that disease… ironically named after a baseball player, Lou Gehrig’s disease. The rest of 2023 turned into getting 2nd and 3rd opinions and not settling in with this diagnosis. Despite of the 2nd and 3rd diagnosis confirmation, we refused to accept the clinical fate of this disease. If you know Victor, you know he is not the one to give up, and in turn, his courage, willpower, and discipline are my fuel to keep going.

Fast forward to now, Victor is enrolled in a clinical trial since a couple of months ago. This entails multiple monthly visits to the center. And after such a life-altering diagnosis, it has been nonstop researching, reading, asking, to get Victor the best treatment, supplements, therapies available out there. All these comes at a great cost and expense that no one is truly prepared for. So, after months of juggling all by ourselves with support from some of our family members and friends, we’ve decided to reach out to our broader community for support.

It doesn’t come easy to Victor and I to share this publicly but no fight is won in isolation. True moment of vulnerability.

The purpose of this page is to build a support fund to cover for transportation, monthly supplements, weekly PT, and much more. All centered around helping him get through this while God’s miracle is complete.

Any contributions will help alleviate some of the stress and burden on us but especially Victor who is just trying to fight this with all he has but also live life wholeheartedly.

It is with heartfelt gratitude that we say thank you for reading through and for any contributions made. One more thing we ask for is to have him in your prayers, so all our voices are heard in the most highest.

Soy Pamela, y Víctor es mi prometido, mejor amigo, compañero de vida y más. Mientras escribo esto, nunca en un millón de años pensé que estaríamos pasando por esto...

En octubre de 2023, a Víctor le diagnosticaron ELA. ¿Recuerdas ese desafío viral que generó conciencia y recaudó fondos?? Sí, esa enfermedad… irónicamente lleva el nombre de un jugador de béisbol, la enfermedad de Lou Gehrig. El resto del 2023 se convirtió en obtener una segunda y tercera opinión y no nos conformamos con el diagnóstico. A pesar de la segunda y tercera confirmación del diagnóstico, nos negamos a aceptar el destino clínico de esta enfermedad. Si conoces a Víctor, sabes que él no es de darse por vencido y, a su vez, su coraje, fuerza de voluntad y disciplina son mi combustible para seguir adelante.

Hoy en día, Víctor es parte de un ensayo clínico desde hace un par de meses. Esto implica múltiples visitas mensuales al centro. Y después de enterarnos de esta información que cambió nuestras vida, no hemos dejado de investigar, leer y preguntar para conseguir el mejor tratamiento, suplementos y terapias disponibles. Todo esto tiene un gran costo y gasto para el cual nadie está realmente preparado. Después de varios meses de manejar todo solos con el apoyo de algunos de nuestros familiares y amigos, hemos decidido buscar apoyo en nuestra comunidad en general.

No nos resulta fácil a Víctor y a mí compartir esto públicamente, pero ninguna pelea se gana de forma aislada. Verdadero momento de vulnerabilidad.

El propósito de esta página es crear un fondo de apoyo para cubrir el transporte, los suplementos mensuales, terapia física semanal y mucho más. Todo centrado en ayudarlo a superar todo esto mientras se completa el milagro de Dios.

Cualquier contribución ayudará a aliviar algo del estrés y la carga que tenemos, pero especialmente a Víctor, que simplemente está tratando de luchar contra esto con todo lo que tiene pero también de vivir la vida con todo el corazón.

Es con sincero agradecimiento que le agradecemos por leer todo y por cualquier contribución realizada. Una cosa más que pedimos es tenerlo en sus oraciones, para que todas nuestras voces sean escuchadas en lo más alto.
