Victory for Eliza!

Less than a week ago, one of our dearest friends, Eliza, was faced with the scary diagnosis of Ovarian cancer, possibly metastatic Ovarian cancer. She is currently awaiting biopsy results to determine best treatment options, as well as further imaging to see which other organs have been affected.

Our beloved friend and sister is gearing up to fight whatever challenges are still to come her way. She will begin chemotherapy followed by surgery and more chemotherapy. This six months process will be difficult and intense for Eliza, her loving husband Garrison and their three beautiful children Garry (14), Adela (8) and Lidia (5).

Our goal is to give Eliza and her family support throughout this uncertain journey, as Eliza has stopped working to allow herself to fully focus on healing and recovery. Her husband continues to work full-time to support his wife and children. While they do have health insurance, there are many additional unforeseen expenses that can be overwhelming while undergoing cancer treatment.

Eliza, a naturally free-spirited and "earthy" woman, strongly believes that combining conventional medicine with holistic approaches gives her a much higher chance to beat this cancer. Eliza has always been known and admired for her strong mindset and is preparing to do whatever she can to overcome this diagnosis and begin her journey to recovery. She would never complain or ask for anything, which is why we are coming together and creating this funding page to support her needs and alleviating some of the financial burden as much as possible; hence the reason for sharing this page with you.

Eliza is a fighter with the kindest of souls. She is resilient, compassionate, sincere, fearless and loyal. If anyone can beat this cancer, is undoubtedly her.
