Victory For Vicente

Vicente Ramirez is a recent  2018 graduate from Crook County High School in Prineville, Oregon.  Vicente is in need of a kidney transplant.  Oregon Health Science University is working with the Ramirez family to insure that when a match is found he will receive the best care possible.  They are working to expedite the transplant process before Vicente turns nineteen on October 19, 2018, because at that point his medical insurance coverage changes significantly, and certainly not for the better.  OHSU has asked the Prineville Community to step in to address some immediate needs.  Prior to Vicente receiving a transplant he and a family member will need to raise $4,000 in living expenses to cover the first  month after surgery.  Post surgery they will stay in Portland and close to OHSU.  Additional expenses will be paying for all of the extra medications that he will be required to take for the kidney transplant to be successful.
