Viers Mill Fifth grade Environmental field trip

The Fifth-grade teachers at Viers Mill Elementary School are raising money for their fifth graders to go on an extended day field trip to learn about the Chesapeake Bay watershed and what they can do as students and citizens to protect their environment. When they return, they will take part in an Action Project using the information they’ve learned. They’ll work on school grounds to reduce erosion and sediment pollution as well as beautify their campus.

Viers Mill is a Title 1 public school in Silver Spring, MD where the majority of the students receive free and reduced meals.
