Help a Vietnam Veteran and His Devoted Wife Find Peace and Support in Assisted Living
Hello, my name is Ron Anderson, and I’m a proud Vietnam Veteran. I’ve spent my life working hard, serving my country, raising a family, and being a dedicated husband. But in recent years, life has dealt some very difficult hands, and now I find myself needing to ask for help.
In 2020, I suffered a massive heart attack due to a 100% blockage in my LAD artery. Since then, my health has steadily declined. I sustained a severe concussion that left me with vertigo and balance issues, and I now rely on a cane or walker to get around. I’ve also lost all hearing in my right ear, and have just 50% hearing in my left.
Then, in 2024, I received the life-changing diagnosis of Lewy Body Dementia—a progressive condition that affects memory, movement, and behavior.
As these challenges mount, it’s become clear that my wife and I need to transition into an independent or assisted living facility—a place where I can receive the structured support I need, and where my wife can finally have some relief from the constant caregiving she has so selflessly provided for years.
We’ve been married for over 30 years, and she has been my rock through every surgery, every doctor’s visit, and every setback. But the emotional, physical, and financial toll has been tremendous on both of us.
After working 40 years for the same company, I lost my pension, stocks, and insurance when the company went bankrupt after I retired. Now, the cost of relocating and paying off bills so we can afford this next chapter is overwhelming.
While it’s not easy for me to ask for help, I know this is a step we must take to protect our health and well-being. Your support—no matter the amount—will go directly toward:
Relocation expenses to assisted living
Medical and caregiving costs
Outstanding bills that are keeping us from moving forward
Creating a stable, peaceful home where we can focus on healing.
From the bottom of my heart, thank you for taking the time to read my story. If you’re unable to give, I completely understand—and would be deeply grateful if you could share this campaign with others.
God bless you,
Ron Anderson
