Vietnam Veteran finds lost buddy 54 years later

Hello, my name is Lewis, I'm trying to raise $4000 dollars so my dad can fly to Texas and spend a week there to visit a long lost Vietnam buddy that we just found.
My dad was drafted in to the Vietnam war around 1965 and went to Vietnam in 1966 severing in the Army as a fuel tanker driver with the 538th Transportation Co. There he met and severed with several very good friends that he met along the way. One of these friends was a guy named Sanchez, who was getting out of Vietnam a few months after my dad left. My dad heard his truck was attacked after he got out on a run, but never knew what happened to him. We have been looking for his buddy, but as you know finding someone is hard even with todays technology. But as of last week we found him, and they spend a few hours on the phone reminiscing. I have never seen my dad so happy in the last few years. He was sure he got killed just before he got out of Vietnam, and that was the reason we never could find him. But he survived the war and has been living in Texas this whole time. Its been over 54 years since my dad has even talked to him, but they sounded like it was just last week, telling each other different stores. So now my goal is to fly my dad down to Texas with my mother, get them a hotel for the week and a rental car. So that he can go visit with his long lost buddy from the war. My plan is the last week of March right now, so any help I can get the help fund this trip for my dad, my war hero, would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for all your help. I will include a photo of my dad in the war and his buddy also. Again thank you for making this trip possible.
