Vietnam Veterans of America Moving Combat Wall

Find out about the Moving Wall here!
The Vietnam Veterans of American Tristate Chapter 843 (VT, NH, MA) is raising funds to support the visit of the Moving Combat Wall to Brattleboro, Vermont.
This installation will take place between September 16-20, 2021
A replica of the Vietnam Memorial in Washington, D.C., the Moving Wall is 265 feet long and made of 74 black aluminum panels.
The half-sized replica still has a powerful effect, helping unify viewers in sorrow. “It’s very emotional,” chapter President Len Derby told the Brattleboro Reformer. “Seeing all the names … it strikes you. It’s quite a thing to see. It’s unlike any memorial I’ve ever seen.”
Transport and installation of the wall costs approximately $10,000.
In order to cover the costs for this important event, the VVA Ch 843 is appealing to the tri-state area communities to support the endeavor by donating through this website, or sending donations directly to:
The VVA Memorial Fund
1161 Collins Road
Brattleboro, VT 05301
The Wall will be located on the Moore Field in Brattleboro off route-5 and I91-N. . Easily accessible to all, including handicapped individuals, with plans to engage local schools in educational field trips.
We would like to thank the Brattleboro Police Department for having graciously offered its in-kind donation of services for security of the wall 24-hours of the day for the entirety of the event.
