Village Cares Associate Relief for Hurricane Ida

This Go Fund Me is being organized by The Sumas Family Foundation for the benefit of Village Super Market, Inc. Associates impacted by the effects of Hurricane Ida.

In early September, many of our own Village family members were deeply impacted by the devastating effects of Hurricane Ida. Even through their own hardships and loss, they continued to come to work and serve their community during its time of need. As we look for ways to come together to help our family through this, we are excited to launch the Village Cares Associate Relief Fund for impacts due to Hurricane Ida. A program for Village by the Village Family and the Sumas Family Foundation where our team members in need can apply confidentially for grants to help them with hardships directly related to the storm.

Members of the Sumas Family and the Sumas Family Foundation will initially fund this effort with $50,000 and Village Super Market will match the next $25,000 contributed by our team members, with a goal of being able to distribute at least $100,000. Any funds remaining after grants have been distributed to Associates will go into The Sumas Family Foundation general fund.
